Three groups of Ohio University students have spent their spring break exploring the politics, law, and society of the Civil Rights Movement through the lens of journalism and public advocacy. These students spend the first half of the spring semester learning in the classroom about the Civil Rights Movment before embarking on a week-long trip to historic sites in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

To learn more about the program, visit the Office of Global Opportunities' page on the course and trip here.

Also, check out some of the students' projects and work via the OU Civil Ride twitter  page, Instagram account, this Backdrop Magazine article, or view our students' video testimonials about the trip, or vlogs here.
