Khela Wells
Khela Wells is an aspiring interior designer based out of southern Virginia with twenty-four years of experience in the engineering and design industry. She is a dedicated professional currently positioned as a Mechanical Engineering Designer and Construction Administration Technician. She graduated from Patrick Henry Community College in 2002 with an associate degree in General Engineering Technologies with a Computer Aided Drafting and Design specialization. After recognizing a need for renewal, she embraced redirection and is now a 2026 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in interior architecture.
While effortlessly managing work, school, and family she has been listed both on the Dean’s List Fall 2024 and Summer 2025, and as an Honor student Spring 2024 and Fall 2026. With these achievements she is a member of The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA).
From a young age Khela has attained exceptional organizational abilities, strategic prioritization, high efficiency, and effective workflow management in all aspects of her life’s responsibilities. She is a result-oriented industry professional desiring to utilize her technical proficiency and design knowledge to creatively craft human experiences and transform futures.
Her vision, Haven Maternity & Wellness Centre, transcends conventional boundaries, weaving together the tapestry of community and patient-centered care. With each stroke of her design, she envisions a sanctuary where sustainable elegance meets functional brilliance. The facility's walls whisper tales of resilience, crafted from exquisite, eco-friendly materials that breathe life into the space. Natural light dances through expansive windows, while lush gardens offer solace and rejuvenation. Her design is not just a building; it is a nurturing embrace, a testament to the harmony between humanity and the environment, fostering a brighter, healthier future for all.
Khela aspires to transition to an interior design position to passionately focus on mastering sustainable design principles and develop expertise in lighting. Committed to reducing environmental impact, she aims to create designs that foster happiness, reduce stress, and enhance core environments for occupants.
