Julia Torgo
Julia Torgo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture from Ohio University and is based in Austin, Texas. Her studies enhanced her skills in space planning, technical documentation, and evidence-based design, while deepening her understanding of how interior environments affect daily life.
Julia pursued interior architecture to improve everyday experiences through well-designed spaces. She values balancing creative exploration with analytical problem solving and enjoys turning concepts into practical, aesthetically pleasing designs.
Julia built a strong foundation in interior architectural design through coursework and studio projects at Ohio University, covering concept development, documentation, and presentation. She is proficient in key industry software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite, which enable her to produce detailed technical documentation and compelling design presentations. Her experience spans academic, commercial, and community-focused interiors, emphasizing evidence-based design and effective graphic communication.
Julia intends to continue working at the intersection of architecture and interior design, contributing her technical and space-planning expertise to multidisciplinary teams. She is currently expanding her skills through an internship with Austin Community College’s Campus Planning, Construction & Sustainability department, where she works on real-world projects and gains experience in large-scale educational planning. She also plans to pursue LEED and NCIDQ certification to further support her work in creating thoughtful, functional interior spaces.
