Jessica Fernandez
My name is Jessica Fernandez, and I am graduating with a Bachelors degree in Interior Architecture. My passion for interior architecture comes from a deep curiosity about how people interact with their surroundings and how thoughtful design can improve daily life. I have always been drawn to the idea of transforming ordinary spaces into meaningful, calming, and functional environments, places that support comfort and the unique needs of the people who use them.
When I am not designing, I love spending time with my fiancé, our pups, and our farm animals. I live in a rural area about an hour west of Chicago, where my family and I raise chickens and goats. Most days you will find us riding our UTV around the property with our two dogs, enjoying the quiet and open space. I also love to travel, explore new places, and go hiking whenever I can. After graduation, I am excited to step into the professional design world, take on real design challenges, work with clients, and continue growing my skills.
My Wellness Retreat Spa project focuses on addressing the constant stress people experience throughout their daily lives, whether it comes from demanding jobs, family responsibilities, overstimulation, or the fast pace of modern living. The goal of the space is to create an environment that actively supports both mental and physical restoration.
