Back in 2023, Peyton lost her grandma after a struggle with mental and physical health. This loss affected Peyton and her family greatly, and she wanted to create a thesis where the built environment can help enhance older adults’ wellbeing. Through this project, Peyton realized the importance that the built environment has on a senior’s living situation, and how the facilitation of social and physical engagement can create a profound influence on older adults. After graduation, Peyton is interested in residential and commercial design, with the goal of working somewhere out west.
