Hope in Motion: A Parkinsons Therapy Center
Parkinson’s disease affects approximately 10 million people worldwide, Miah’s grandfather among them. Inspired by this personal connection, Miah’s design approach centers on creating environments where occupants feel comfortable, safe, and supported. Hope in Motion, a Parkinson’s Therapy Center, is designed to empower patients by fostering confidence, independence, and ease of movement within the space while they engage in therapy.
User experience was a primary focus throughout the project, guiding each design decision. Following the completion of Hope in Motion, Miah continues to be drawn to residential design, where creating a home means shaping a secure, supportive environment for everyday living.
