Greenhouse Gases Inventory

Ohio was ranked four in United States based on estimates of CO2 emissions from fossil fuel consumption within the states. The bulk of Ohio CO2 emissions are contributed by coal fired power plants, manufacturing industries and transport. As a part of Ohio University and Ohio State University collaboration, the Center of Air Quality developed a detailed inventory for greenhouse gases emissions from Ohio. Ohio Department of Development funded the project to understand the risks and opportunities in a carbon-constrained world with new regulations for climate change policies. A web-based GIS tool and detailed report is provided on www.ohioenergyresources.com.
