The fellowship of $2,000 helps an undergraduate student to pursue research in any aspect of plant cellular and molecular biology in a laboratory associated with the department that is clearly focused on plant cellular and molecular biology research.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants should:

  • Be an undergraduate student enrolled in or accepted for admission to Ohio University.
  • Have a clear academic focus on plant cellular and molecular biology.
  • Have a minimum GPA of at least 3.0.
  • Be conducting research during the summer semester.

The awardee and research laboratory where the research will take place must have a clear plant cellular and molecular biology focus (the latter including all molecules from metabolites to DNA).
