Mock Trial Team
About the Team
The Ohio University Mock Trial Team is an educational and experiential program that provides students with the opportunity to engage in simulated courtroom litigation.
The team learns the components of a trial, applicable law, rules of evidence, and courtroom procedure and then competes against other universities from across the United States.

Coach Larry Hayman, Esq.
Larry Hayman, Esq. is Assistant Director of the Center for Law, Justice & Culture and and Pre-Law Advisor for OHIO's Center for Advising, Career and Experiential Learning. He teaches and advises students interested in law.
Prior to joining Ohio University, he was Managing Attorney at The Law Firm of Hayman & Kelley, and later, Hayman Law, LLC in Columbus, Ohio, where he focused his practice on election law and education law matters. He has held leadership positions in the Columbus Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Midwest Association of Pre-Law Advisors and in 2018, was selected to become an Ohio State Bar Foundation Fellow. He is licensed to practice law before all state courts and agencies in the state of Ohio as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
He is an OHIO alumnus and the founding coach of the Ohio University Mock Trial Team, coaching since 2015.

The Ohio University Mock Trial Team is a student organization designed to assist those interested in law and the legal system pursue their education outside of the classroom with hands-on experience. Through competition, practice, meetings, and lectures, members will grow to better prepare them for their professional careers.
