Academic Advising

Advising is a partnership between a student and an academic advisor who work together to create educational plans to meet the student's academic, career, and personal goals. The student is responsible for being prepared for and participating in advising sessions, as well as understanding University and program requirements.

All OHIO Online students will be assigned an academic advisor. If you don't know who your advisor is, check your DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) report.

If you are a nondegree student from another university or college, you will need to consult with your advisor at that institution to make sure the OHIO class(es) you plan to take meet your degree needs. Online graduate students should consult with their college to contact their advisor. RN to BSN students can find their advisor in the Nursing Knowledge Center.
