| In most instances, regional campus students are bound by the dates, deadlines, policies, and procedures as published in the Schedule of Classes. Exceptions and variations applicable to the Southern campus are noted below. ACADEMIC ADVISING Students are encouraged to consult an advisor to review a schedule and make adjustments. Call Student Services in Ironton, (740) 533-4600, or the Proctorville Center, (740) 886-7655, for information or an appointment. CHANGES OF CLASS SCHEDULE Students who find it necessary to add or replace a class can do so by using My OHIO Student Center (which may be accessed from My OHIO portal - Academics tab). See Fall Quarter 2011-12 Calendar for all registration deadlines. The last day to add a class without instructor’s approval is Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The last day to add a class is Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Students may use My OHIO Student Center (which may be accessed from My OHIO portal - Academics tab) to drop any class through Tuesday, September 20, 2011. However, classes dropped Wednesday, September 21, 2011 -Monday, October 10, 2011 will remain on student's academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment. Note: Flexibly scheduled classes have different add/drop/replace dates. For more information, see the expanded class details on Course Offerings. CONTINUING STUDENTS Register for your classes on or after your registration appointment time listed in My OHIO Student Center (which may be accessed from My OHIO portal - Academics tab). FEE PAYMENT The initial due date for fall fees will be Monday, August 22, 2011, for returning students. This will include registration charges incurred as of Monday, July 25, 2011. Account balance notifications for newly incurred charges are e-mailed at the beginning of each month and are due on the 21st of the month. Payments not received by the due date will incur a late fee of 1.5%. Payment can be made by cash, by check, or electronically using eCheck or credit card (American Express, Discover, or MasterCard). Payment by eCheck or by credit card can be made by visiting My OHIO portal (Accounts tab). eCheck has no service charge and is available to all students. Credit card payments will have a service charge assessed based on the transaction amount. Checks are to be made payable to Ohio University. Be sure the check is properly completed (date, amount due, and signature). Postdated checks will not be accepted. Please indicate the student's Person Identification Number (PID) on the front of the check. Checks may be mailed to: Ohio University, Chubb Hall 010, PO Box 960, Athens, OH 45701. Credit cards are accepted at regional campuses for regional campus students only. Payment may be made at Student Services located in the Collins Center by money order, check, American Express, MasterCard, or VISA (NO CASH, PLEASE!). FINAL EXAMINATION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULE All final examinations will be given during finals week at the same time that the class meets. Each examination period is two hours and will be held in the regular classroom; online; or via compressed video. FINANCIAL AID ASSISTANCE Financial aid questions should be directed to Student Services, (740) 533-4600. IMPORTANT Any student unable to complete the quarter should contact Student Services, (740) 533-4600, for information and instructions. Students who do not follow University policy for withdrawal will receive an F, FN, or FS grade. FN/FS grades calculate as Fs in the GPA. INSURANCE Insurance forms will be available at the time of registration. Students who want insurance should complete the form and mail it to the indicated address. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS See special information for international students. NEW STUDENTS New students who will be attending Southern campus will be required to attend an orientation (dates to be announced). Student Services will advise new students with the details a few weeks prior to the event. Contact Student Services for more information regarding these sessions. RE-ENROLLING STUDENTS, RELOCATING STUDENTS, AND TRANSFER STUDENTS Students in this category should call or meet with an advisor in Student Services. LIBRARY The Library is housed on the second floor of the Collins Center. Hours are 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Saturday.
