Fall Quarter 2009-10 Calendar

 
Regional campus students should refer also to the section of the Schedule of Classes pertaining to their campus: Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern, Zanesville.

Deadlines are 5:00 p.m. EST on the date indicated (unless otherwise noted). However, online transactions may be processed beyond 5:00 p.m. EST if the online application is available.

By registering for classes, a student incurs a legal obligation to pay tuition and fees. This debt may be canceled only if the student officially cancels his/her registration BEFORE Tuesday, September 8, 2009.


FRIDAY, MAY 1
Last day for new incoming students to withdraw from housing and receive a full housing deposit refund for the next academic year (deposit is not refundable if a room has been selected)


MONDAY, MAY 11
Academic advising begins for fall quarter registration for continuing students (contact advisor/college/department/school/regional campus student services office as appropriate)

DARS reports available for students enrolled spring quarter

Note: A DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) report is issued to students each quarter prior to priority registration. See General Information: Registration Material Locations for method of distribution and location.

Fall quarter priority registration begins


MONDAY, MAY 18 - MONDAY, JUNE 8

Web Registration available for fall quarter priority registration (see Registration Schedule). This is priority registration based on class rank. See your DARS report for your starting time and Registration Access Code (RAC).

Note: Each student's RAC (Registration Access Code) is printed on his/her DARS report for priority registration. Continuing students can obtain registration material at the locations listed under General Information: Registration Material Locations or at their regional campus student services offices. Re-enrolling students are mailed registration information upon receipt of their request to re-enroll.

Fee Information: Student eBills will be generated Thursday, August 6, 2009. Fees must be paid on or before Thursday, August 27, 2009. See General Information: Fee Assessment Payment/Deadline-Bills for information on making payments.

Upon completion of registration, student class schedules are available by accessing the Office of the University Registrar Web site, www.ohio.edu/registrar, and selecting MySchedule under Online Services. See General Information: Schedules, Student for more information on requesting your schedule via the Web.

Last day for returning students to withdraw from housing to avoid forfeiture of fall quarter deposit of $200

Fall quarter class schedules sent to Oak e-mail accounts of registered students

THURSDAY, AUGUST 27
Last day to pay fees for fall quarter to avoid late payment charge

Reminder:
Fees must be paid by the due date. Students who have not paid their fees will not be canceled but will be charged a $100 late payment charge. If you do not plan to attend fall quarter, you must cancel all of your classes by accessing the Office of the University Registrar Web site, www.ohio.edu/registrar, and selecting Register for Classes under Online Services or by calling the Office of the University Registrar, (740) 593-4495, BEFORE Tuesday, September 8, 2009, the first day of classes.

Fee Information: Students incurring charges will receive an eBill with payment due upon receipt.

Note: Students who are in attendance by this date but fail to complete any registration procedures must pay a penalty for retroactive registration correction according to the following schedule:

Last day to add a fall quarter class (instructor's permission required)
