2019 Fall Graduate Recognition

In honor of your graduation we invite you to attend the 2019 Fall Graduate Recognition night on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 6 pm in Elson Hall Auditorium on the Zanesville Campus. We invite you and your guests to celebrate your achievement, along with others who graduated in the Summer.

When is the Graduate Recognition Night?

The reception will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at 6 p.m.


Where will the Graduate Recognition Night be held?

The reception will be held at the Zanesville Campus Auditorium located in Elson Hall on campus -- 1425 Newark Road, Zanesville.


Do I need to get a cap and gown?

Yes. If you have not ordered a cap and gown yet you can still do so. Please go to, https://commerce.cashnet.com/cashnetg/selfserve/storehome.aspx to place your order. Order deadline is November 29, 2019. If you ordered when you applied for graduation you do not need to order again.


Is there a limit to the number of guests I can bring?

No. However we do ask that you RSVP with the number of individuals planning to attend for planning purposes.


Where will parking be for the Graduate Recognition Night?

The best place to park for the reception is the East parking lot by Elson Hall.


Will there be a reception for students and guests?

Yes. We will be hosting the reception AFTER to the ceremony this year. It will be in the Elson Hall Atrium.


Will there be photos taken during the Graduate Recognition Night?

We invite you to bring your camera for informal photos, but we will not be taking formal photos as we do at the Spring Convocation. We will have several areas for you to take photos.


Can I attend the Commencement Ceremony in Athens on December 14, 2019?

Yes, if you indicated that you will be attending when you applied for graduation. For questions regarding the commencement ceremony visit, www.ohio.edu/commencement


Can I attend the Zanesville Campus Convocation ceremony in the spring?

Yes, in addition to the reception on December 12, we encourage you to participate in our more formal Convocation ceremony on Friday, May 1. More information will be available on our website in February 2020.
