Wellbeing

Wellbeing is a University discount program that helps reduce the patient cost for selected treatment provided at the Ohio University Student Health Center. All students registered for one or more Athens credit hours (includes Athens online, Dublin HCOM, and Cleveland HCOM programs; excludes eCampus) prior to the second Friday of the semester, are automatically charged for the wellbeing fee.

The Ohio University wellbeing fee will impact students differently due to the implementation of the guaranteed tuition model.

Students who are in the guaranteed tuition model will have the wellbeing fee automatically included in the tuition model at a reduced rate.  Benefits include 20 counseling sessions, psychiatric intake, psychiatric follow up appointments, and group counseling with Ohio University Counseling and Psychological services at no additional charge. The fee cannot be waived, and will not appear on the student account as an individual charge.

The wellbeing fee for students not in the guaranteed tuition model is automatically charged to the student account upon registration of (1) one or more Athens credit hours (includes Athens online, Dublin HCOM, and Cleveland HCOM programs; excludes eCampus). Benefits include 20 counseling sessions, psychiatric intake, psychiatric follow up appointments, and group counseling with Ohio University Counseling and Psychological services at no additional charge. Students will also receive a discount of up to $15.00 for a patient balance at Campus Care for office visits, radiology, and laboratory balances.

Students who are not in the guaranteed tuition model have the option to waive the wellbeing fee by the posted deadline each semester. The waiver for the wellbeing fee is only available online through the My Ohio Student Center through the posted waiver deadline each semester. If the waiver is not completed by the posted deadline each semester, the charge will remain on the student’s account.

Fall Semester: September 9, 2016
Spring Semester: January 27, 2017
