Legacy

I believe the government’s highest calling is to empower people and galvanize their energy and resources to help solve our problems, meet our challenges, and seize our opportunities.

The Voinovich School has a rich history rooted in its mission to serve. We believe public leadership is based on trust and collaboration. Our students, faculty and staff work together with partners and communities to serve with integrity and purpose to create meaningful change and lasting positive outcomes.

Looking forward with vision

Our School’s namesake George V. Voinovich believed in galvanizing the energy of people and ideas to propel action and progress, and that’s how we work today. Formally established on April 20, 2007, the Voinovich School houses a strong MPA portfolio and graduate environmental programs. It also holds the designation as the first multidisciplinary school at Ohio University.
