Mak Olaker joined the Dean of Students team in 2023 and serves as Assistant Dean of Students and Director for New Student and Family Programs. A proud two-time Bobcat, Mak has been at Ohio University since 2013 and holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Pre-Law and an M.Ed. in Higher Education. 

Over the years at OHIO, Mak has worn many hats related to student engagement and leadership development. She also spent time at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she led women’s and leadership initiatives in the Leeds School of Business, built a scholars program to support women in business and STEM, and oversaw the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative.

Raised in Appalachia, Mak has a deep love for Athens and the surrounding communities. She loves welcoming new Bobcats and their families to campus!
