Division of Student Affairs Employee Recognition
The Division of Student Affairs will host a Year-End Celebration on May 7 from 3-5 p.m. on the Ping Center Patio to celebrate the end of another successful year. In addition, this year’s event will also serve as an opportunity to recognize our exceptional staff contributions to OHIO.
Division leaders are currently accepting nominations for the following awards:
- Mentor of the Year: Someone who not only is a mentor to staff in their own unit, but mentors others throughout their department as well as the division.
- Lasting Action Award: Someone who has led a Division/Department initiative that has made a lasting impact on the Division of Student Affairs.
- New Professional Award: Given to a new professional in the first 1-3 years of their career who is showing impact, leadership, and commitment to the department, students and colleagues.
- Mid-Career Award: Recognition for outstanding service of an employee who has served the Division for at least 5 years and who has demonstrated impact, leadership and commitment to the department, students and colleagues.
- Intersectional Collaboration Award: Highlights a Division employee who is leading an impactful collaboration between Division departments or with other University partners.
- Faculty/Staff Contribution Award: Formally recognizes an Ohio University faculty or staff member who contributes significantly to the goals and activities of the Division of Student Affairs.
- Outstanding Contributions for Customer Service: This award is given to a staff member who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to providing quality service to students, parents and university partners. This staff member is approachable, welcoming and willing to go above and beyond to help assist and support.
Division Superlatives - In addition to the awards outlined above, the Division is also accepting nominations for the following:
- Best Jokes: Most likely to make you laugh in a meeting.
- The Early Bird: Always first to a meeting.
- Social Butterfly: Employee that is always positively engaging with students/faculty/staff.
- Coffeepot’s Best Friend: The employee that always has a cup of coffee in their hand.
- Silver Lining Award: For the staff member that always keeps things positive.
- Helping Hand Award: This kind coworker is always lending a helping hand.
- Submit your own! Do you have an idea/suggestion for another superlative that’s not covered and have the perfect person in mind? Submit it through the nomination form!
Nominations are open through April 26.
