Graduate Student Financial Support by Department

College of Arts and Sciences
Physics and Astronomy

The Department of Physics & Astronomy awards an Outstanding TA Award each year. We also periodically award the Y-C Chang Fellowship. This Fellowship is awarded on an occasional basis, as decided by the availability of funds.

The awardee shall
-Be a Ph.D. program student in Physics & Astronomy who has completed three years in a Ph.D. program, at least one of which must be at Ohio University.
-Have a GPA of at least 3.8 in lecture and laboratory classes in the Department of Physics & Astronomy and the Department of Mathematics

Any student meeting these criteria will be eligible for the award. High GPA is a key criterion for deciding the awardee. Research productivity will also be considered, and is regarded as slightly more important than a high GPA.
