Global Opportunities Fair
The Global Opportunities Fair is a great opportunity for students to come and learn about the many different international and domestic study away opportunities available through Ohio University and their partners.
This Fall, we are excited to unveil our virtual Fair week, which will take place October 19-23. This fair provides the opportunity to learn about the many different international, domestic, and virtual and global opportunities available through Ohio University and their partners. Throughout this week, you'll have the chance to talk with returned students and staff. You can also find out about a variety of internships abroad and scholarships available to OHIO students.

How to Register
- Go to the Registration Page on LunaFairs.
- Create your account and select your study abroad/away preferences. Our program matching tool will help you refine your search and find some great programs for you.
- Explore the site. "Favorite" programs for easy access to return to, and check out our University Booths for more information on OHIO-Credit and Exchange programs!

During the week, OGO and their partners will host a wide array of live-events. Please see the schedule below for events and links to various sessions. We are planning to record many of the live sessions and will share a link with registered students after the formal fair week has concluded.

OICP provides students with significant hands-on experience working to solve a significant business problem. |Tuesday, October 20||10:00 AM - 11:00 AM||Human Rights, Law & Justice in Northern Ireland||Join Program Directors Dr. Haley Duschinski and Larry Hayman to learn more about the Human Rights, Law & Justice in Northern Ireland Program.
Explore the legacy of the conflict known as "the Troubles" through interactions with human rights lawyers, ex-political prisoners, victims associations, and restorative justice practitioners. Law, culture, history, and politics are combined into a unique and engaging experience that offer 3 credits in just one week for undergraduate students and 4 credits for graduate students!

Join Program Directors Karen Mammone and Molly Gurien to learn more about the Bahamas: Animal Diversity and Ecology in the Caribbean program.
Dive into the beautiful, blue Bahamian waters as you learn about the diversity of marine animals in the Animal Diversity and Ecology in the Caribbean program. This program travels to Forfar Field Station on Andros Island in the Bahamas and provides an amazing opportunity for Ohio University students to spend time in gorgeous surroundings doing field work including species identification, data collection and analysis, and experiments.

Tour four of Europe’s most beautiful cities—Berlin, Krakow, Prague, and Paris—as you hone your writing abilities. This program’s essential question is How do cultures use public acts of remembering to construct their histories? To shape cultures? As we travel across Europe we’ll examine a wide variety of public acts of remembering including memoirs, museums, monuments, and historic sites.

At CYA and Athens in general, students will walk--literally and figuratively--in the footsteps of some of the deepest thinkers in human history. In addition to offering diverse and exciting courses, CYA encourages students to become involved in extracurricular activities and explore on their own during weekends. Students are engaged academically but, beyond that, CYA helps them grow as global citizens and leaders. Many CYA students participate in volunteer and internship opportunities at organizations around Athens, including working with refugees, English as a second language, and helping Aegean marine life.||Zoom|

|Thursday, October 22||11:00 AM - 12:00 PM||UK: City and Environment||Please join Dr. Geoff Buckley (program director) and Alli Mancz (program assistant) for an information session on the Edinburgh: City and Environment OGO program. Known for its spectacular setting and Old World charm, Edinburgh, Scotland is one of Europe’s most beautiful and exciting cities. Thanks to a host of urban planning and sustainability initiatives it also is gaining notoriety as an emerging “green city.” Over the course of this 5-week program, scheduled to run next in summer 2021, students will get to know the city as few people do, earning 8 credits as they immerse themselves in Edinburgh’s past, present, and future. Daily field trips and weekend excursions are hallmarks of this popular and long-running sustainability-themed study away experience.||Microsoft Teams|
