Administrative Services Assistant

Tonya joined the OGO team in 2015. As an Administrative Service Assistant, Tonya is the friendly face that will meet you when you come into our office. She is able to connect you with a peer advisor or specific program advisor to discuss the many study away programs that are offered. Tonya also assists with the application process, the tracking of documents and keeping track of the students as they study away.

Before joining the OGO team, Tonya spent 20 years working at Hocking College in a variety of roles including: administrative assistant, program advisor, cashier and records clerk, financial aid accounts specialist and financial aid counselor. Tonya holds Associate Degrees in Office Management and Accounting, a BA in Business Administration, as well as, an MBA.

Tonya has had the opportunity to travel all around Jamaica (Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Negril, Port Royal, Kingston). Prior to joining the OGO team, she participated in an administrative exchange program, where she was able to spend a month as an executive administrative assistant at the Oceana Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica

Tonya describes herself as a very simple person. Her favorite quote is "A body in motion, stays in motion," and Tonya makes sure she stays busy. She loves spending time with her family, gardening and doing yard work.
