• Welcome from the School of Dance Director & Meet faculty, current students, and staff!
• Check in & Receive event materials & personalized schedules
• Participants choose their workshops and do a self-guided warm up to get settled
• Check out our student organizations, campus resources, and special dance-related opportunities
• Sit in on an open faculty rehearsal in the Shirley Wimmer Dance Theater, for an intimate look at how faculty and students rehearse original dance works

1:00 – 2:30 PM – Afternoon Workshop 1

• Modern Technique Workshop: Join acclaimed OHIO School of Dance faculty and students in our rigorous, creative, and full-bodied approach to modern dance technique. Explore how breath, rhythm, and movement exploration bring you in touch with your artistic voice and connect you to the others in the space.

2:30 – 4:00 PM – Afternoon Workshop 2

• OHIO Dance Team Workshop: This interactive workshop with OHIO’s nationally recognized dance team offers a behind-the-scenes look at our sideline and competition teams, including audition requirements, our holistic approach to team-building, and leadership development opportunities. 

4:00 – 4:30 PM – Informal Tech Run

• Take a moment to reflect on all the incredible experiences and insights you've gained throughout the day before rehearsing for the final performance. And don’t worry if you’ve forgotten a few details, our enthusiastic student ambassadors will be right there with you, dancing and celebrating every step of the way!

4:30 – 4:45 PM – Dance at OHIO Group Photo & Celebration Activity

College Green

• Join fellow participants for a commemorative group photo and a fun, reflective activity led by our student ambassadors!

4:45 – 5:00 PM – Theater Seating Opens for Concluding Performance: “Dance at OHIO!”

• Guests are welcome to join us in Putnam Hall at the Shirley Wimmer Dance Theater, the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts premier dance facility!

5:00 – 5:15 PM – Concluding Performance: “Dance at OHIO”

Shirley Wimmer Studio Theater

• Conclude your Dance at OHIO experience with a dynamic and celebratory showcase in the Shirley Wimmer Studio Theater. This event brings together current OHIO Students and workshop participants for a series of mini performances that highlight the energy, creativity, and collaboration cultivated throughout the day.
• Attendees will gain insight into the next steps of the audition experience for incoming students interested in joining the School of Dance.
• To wrap up the evening, all participants will receive exclusive swag bags and tickets to upcoming on-campus dance events, ensuring your connection to the OHIO dance community continues!
