About the Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships Outreach
Our office works with the campus, local communities, and organizations to bring information about financial aid to students and their families. Our expert staff provide support to help make the financial aid process clear and easy to understand. Our goal is to raise awareness about Federal and State programs and scholarship resources to help make higher education more attainable for students and families.
Services provided:
The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is happy to assist students, parents, and community members with their financial aid questions and concerns. Our experienced financial aid staff provides services including, but not limited to; financial aid processes, scholarship eligibility and consideration, using financial aid to study abroad, satisfactory academic progress processes questions, and transient study.
Scheduling appointments:
Every student is assigned a financial aid counselor by last name. Additionally, an on-call counselor is on hand daily to assist in urgent matters. If you would like to set up an appointment with your assigned financial aid counselor, please visit our Contact Page. You can schedule by clicking on their name, emailing your counselor, or calling our office. You can also visit our general Microsoft Teams appointment page to see available meeting times.
Presentations
Our office is often asked to present on various topics related to financial aid. Topics of possible presentations include:
- FAFSA Completion
- General financial aid information sessions for rising juniors and seniors
- Utilizing financial aid to study abroad
- Financial Literacy (budgeting, loan repayment etc.)
- Audience specific presentations such as STEM program participants, student organizations, or first-year students
