Ohio University’s Nurse Leader program is catered to the busy life of a health care professional pursuing a master’s degree in nursing.

The Nurse Leader program is offered 100 percent online with no on-campus requirements, allowing the student to study from the comforts of their own home and allowing greater flexibility.

The program boasts innovative techniques to prepare nurses to lead within a variety of health care settings and organizations. Students will learn best practices through just five semesters (30 credit hours) in areas such as:

  • Nursing leadership
  • Policy
  • Informatics
  • Administration
  • Quality improvement

The skills learned from the Nurse Leader master’s program will allow participants to create change in dynamic health care settings. The program also includes 400 practicum hours in a leadership role of a health care facility.

The Nurse Leader program is designed to lead into the Doctor of Nursing Practice program with just a few more semesters if the student chooses to continue their education.
