Nursing Programs

  • The Associate of Applied Science, Nursing (AAS-N) is a two-year pre-licensure program offered at the Ohio University Chillicothe, Southern and Zanesville campuses. Each of these campuses also has an LPN to RN advanced placement track option.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a traditional, four-year pre-licensure program available on the Athens, Chillicothe, Eastern, Southern, and Zanesville campuses.
  • RN to BSN is an online degree completion program for currently licensed Registered Nurses with an associate degree in nursing or a diploma in nursing wishing to complete a baccalaureate degree. For details, please review eligibility requirements on the RN to BSN website.
  • Ohio School Nurse curriculum allows RNs with an interest in school nursing and school health services to complete coursework to meet the Ohio Department of Education's requirements to become a licensed school nurse. Please email nursing@ohio.edu to request details on the School Nurse Certificate option.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is a graduate program that currently offers Family Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, Nurse Leader, Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner track options.
  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program offers a concentration in advanced clinical or executive practice to further expand the knowledge and skills of the advanced nurse clinician or administrator.
