Ohio University Women's Club of Greater Cleveland

Welcome

Welcome to the Ohio University Women’s Club of Greater Cleveland! Our club was founded in 1939, with the purpose of providing service to the university through the establishment of scholarships funds. To date, we have awarded approximately $400,000 in freshmen and upperclassmen scholarships.

We also promote social contact among our members. The OUWC offers a number of events each year for all members, and everyone is invited to attend the annual Fall Brunch/Holiday Auction as well as the Spring Luncheon. The auction is the major fundraiser for OUWC scholarships, and the scholarship recipients are honored at the luncheon. OUWC members also take part in a number of other events around the Greater Cleveland area, including group outings to local museums, live performances, and sporting events as well as OHIO game watches and happy hours.

There are 14 positions on the Board. Our club also has 4 sections (Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and West). Each section holds its own meetings or activities and has a section chair and other officers.
