The Ohio University Women’s Club of Greater Cleveland will be awarding a scholarship to a high school senior woman who will be attending Ohio University in the fall of 2023. This scholarship can range in value from a partial scholarship up to a full-tuition scholarship for the freshman year. The maximum a student can receive is an amount, when considered with other awards, that totals the amount of tuition only. Since 1951, more than 134 scholarships have been awarded!
We have depended primarily on area high school counselors to make this award known to senior women who are interested in Ohio University. We do appreciate your past support, and we ask for your continued assistance this year so that scholarship applications can be obtained through your guidance office. Electronic copies of the scholarship application are available on our website and can also be obtained by contacting me at the address listed below.
Please make copies of the application letter and the information sheet for distribution to the young women who are interested in attending Ohio University. Completed applications must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023. NO exceptions can be made.

Attention senior high school women! The Ohio University Women's Club of Greater Cleveland is again awarding a scholarship to a high school senior woman from the Greater Cleveland area who will be entering Ohio University as a freshman in the fall of 2023. This scholarship can range in value from a partial scholarship up to a full-tuition scholarship for the freshman year. The maximum a student can receive is an amount, when considered with other awards, that totals the amount of tuition only. This scholarship is only awarded in the freshman year. Since 1951, more than 134 scholarships have been awarded! The winner and her parents will be introduced at our Spring Luncheon in 2023. (Date TBA; COVID permitting.)
Criteria:
- Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 for six semesters.
- Graduate from a Greater Cleveland area high school (Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, and Medina counties).
- Be a female student entering Ohio University (Athens) as a freshman in the fall of 2023.
