During Experience the Arts Day, experience for yourself the vibrant community of artists, performers, educators and scholars that make up OHIO's Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts. Choose from a full day of in-depth artistic offerings like a facilities tours, workshops, class observations, student performances and faculty meet and greets!

High school seniors who sign up for Experience the Arts Day have exclusive access to auditions and portfolio reviews that count towards the admission application in the School of Theater and the School of Dance. Faculty-led lessons will be offered for the School of Music, and portfolio feedback sessions will be offered for the School of Art + Design and the School of Film. At these lessons or feedback sessions, you will receive individualized feedback on your work, get tips on submitting your portfolio/preparing for your audition, and learn about your next steps at OHIO.

Kick off Experience the Arts Day with an inspiring welcome to the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts. Hear from college leaders and experience the creativity, talent, and passion of our students through a dynamic showcase of performances, artwork, and artistic achievement that highlights the vibrant arts community at Ohio University.

Academic Information Sessions | 10:30 a.m.
Choose your own arts adventure! Dive into the academic areas that interest you most, meet faculty and current students, explore facilities, and discover what it's like to study your passion at Ohio University.

Parent and Family Experience | 10:45 a.m.
While students participate in academic workshops, parents and supporters are invited to explore the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts through a flexible, come-and-go experience. Connect with college leadership, learn about scholarship and student support opportunities, meet with academic advisors to discuss four-year degree pathways and discover the academic, creative, and career opportunities available to your student. Drop in throughout the morning and learn how you can best support your student throughout their college journey.

Lunch & Learn | 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Chat with current students and college representatives while you join us for lunch!

School of Film Screening and Student Panel | 1:30-3 p.m.
An opportunity to view a film screening and ask questions to a panel made up of current students.

Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts Campus Facility Tour | 2-3 p.m.
Come explore the reimagined Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts campus and experience our newly transformed creative spaces firsthand as we progress through the renovation process!

Academic Breakout Sessions and Portfolio Review Feedback | 2-4:30 p.m.
Participate in interactive workshops, complete your audition process, or receive one-on-one portfolio feedback from faculty. This is your chance to experience your future program firsthand and demonstrate your creative potential.

Honors and Scholars Presentation | 3-3:30 p.m.
Learn how Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College and other scholars’ opportunities can enrich your academic experience through personalized mentoring, undergraduate research, interdisciplinary learning, and unique pathways for intellectual and creative exploration. Stop by the Next Steps & Application Station to get personalized guidance on the application process, admissions requirements, scholarships, financial aid, and important deadlines.
