The McClure School offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication. To earn your degree, you will work with the McClure School's faculty in the classroom and utilize the McClure School's extensive laboratory facilities. You will gain hands-on experience with the technologies that are revolutionizing the way that individuals, businesses, and governments communicate. These technologies include video conferencing, which makes it possible for business executives to have a face-to-face meeting from thousands of miles apart; wireless telecommunications systems, which allow communication from anywhere on the globe; and the Internet, which offers new ways for businesses and individuals communicate, like e-mail, the World Wide Web, and streaming media. You will also examine the economic and policy implications of information technology and how the technology is utilized. The McClure School also offers a minor, approved in 2008.
