Ohio University launched one of the nation’s first degree programs in communication systems management in 1981 to meet the telecommunication industry’s need for well-trained professionals. The degree’s name was changed to Information and Telecommunication Systems (ITS) and is now housed in the J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies (ECT).

Our ITS grads get good jobs in the industry because they learn from experienced faculty and by using the same equipment they will find in the workplace. Maintaining this level of quality is important to these students’ futures, as well as the school’s.

We encourage all alumni and friends to support the J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies with their gifts of time, expertise, and money. Our two primary fundraising operations are the annual Lonsbury Memorial Scholarship Event and the ITS Innovation Fund.

For information on giving to the McClure School, call or e-mail Amanda DeWees at 740.566.0242 or deweesa@ohio.edu.
