Ohio University in Athens enrolls over 19,000 students. The School of Art has been offering graduate programs since 1936. Within the School of Art there are approximately 75 graduate art majors who come from a variety of geographical backgrounds, both national and international, bringing a broad cultural exchange to the University. The School of Art has a vibrant Visiting Artist and Scholar program, and the Ohio University Art Gallery, Trisolini Gallery and the Kennedy Museum of Art all showcase nationally and internationally known artists, as well as offering graduate students internship opportunities and experience with hanging and exhibiting work.
The School of Art graduate students are highly motivated, talented and conceptually inquisitive. Our exceptional faculty are committed to supporting a diverse range of artistic practices within an interdisciplinary environment.
