High School Concerto Competition

The Ohio University School of Music High School Concerto Competition is an opportunity for outstanding high school musicians in their junior or senior year to submit a performance video and compete for generous prizes, receive feedback from a panel of outstanding educators, and earn the privilege of performing as soloist with the Ohio University Symphony Orchestra or Wind Symphony.

School of Music Auditions

The School of Music considers artistic talent in the review process for it's applicants. Students must audition for consideration to the program. Please note that the audition for admission also serves as the audition for talent-based scholarships. In the event an in-person audition is not possible, a remote or video audition can be arranged by emailing music@ohio.edu.

Register for a Music Lesson

The School of Music will provide a music lesson to any student who is interested in pursuing a degree in music at Ohio University. Requests for either an in-person or virtual lesson can be made below and will be sent to the appropriate faculty member, who will follow up within five business days to schedule your lesson. To participate in a virtual lesson, students must have access to an instrument and to technology that will allow them to participate in a video call (internet, camera, audio). We hope you'll join us!
