Current Use

Herrold Hall currently houses the Zanesville Campus Library, which serves both Ohio University and Zane State College. As of 2019, Herrold Hall also houses the Nursing program.

History

In 1974, the library, Herrold Hall, was built adjacent to Elson Hall.

As the campus continually strives to meet the needs of higher education in the region, renovations were made to Herrold Hall to relocate the Nursing classroom and lab space from the second floor of Elson Hall as well as enhancing study and seminar areas and library facilities for the 21st Century.

In the fall of 2024 remodeling for the J.W. and M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation Nursing Wing will begin.
