Steve Golieb

Steve Golieb has served in both the public and private sectors with a professional focus on policy, social and environmental sciences and sustainability. He was elected to his third term as Town Councilor where he serves as the Chairman to the Town Council, Chair and founder of the Sustainability Committee, and was appointed by Governor Janet Mills to serve as a Councilor on the Maine Climate Council. He has graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Environmental Studies from Excelsior College, a Masters degree in Natural Resources and a graduate certificate in Global Sustainability from Virginia Tech, and is completing a PhD in Anthropology and Environmental Policy at the University of Maine. Steve teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in the environmental and social sciences.
