The Leadership Academy at Ohio University is a twelve-month program targeted to emerging and mid-level employees in public service who want to build their leadership skills. The program is a great fit for administrators from governmental and nonprofit organizations, as well as appointed and elected officials.
- The Leadership Academy provides skills and knowledge to help individuals identify and develop their leadership performance.
- The Leadership Academy presents relevant and useful information which engages learners in the content of each workshop.
- Completion of The Leadership Academy is a required component of the Ohio Certified Public Manager® Program.
Program Curriculum
The program is twelve workshops, held once a month. All workshop are 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Participants will leave each workshop with tools and techniques that are applicable and can be applied immediately.
The Capstone
In addition to participating in the twelve, in-person workshops, participants will identify, design, contribute to, and complete a group Capstone Project benefitting a community-based organization. This project requires work in addition to time spent in workshops.
Graduation
Upon successful completion of The Leadership Academy, participants will receive a certificate of completion from Ohio University. This certificate does not confer academic credit.
Participants who have also completed the Public Management Academy at Cleveland State University will be eligible to receive their Certified Public Manager designation. The Ohio Certified Public Manager designation is awarded by Cleveland State University.

Faculty
Faculty include subject matter experts, practitioners, and guests with experience relevant to the workshop topic.
Location
The Leadership Academy will be held once a month, in-person at the Ohio University Dublin Campus, 6805 Bobcat Way, Dublin, Ohio 43016.
Program Cost
The registration fee for The Leadership Academy at Ohio University is $3,200 per participant, which includes twelve full-day workshops, instructional materials, and lunch.
Payment Options
The registration fee may be made in one full payment of $3,200 via credit card or four quarterly installments of $800 each via credit card.
Participants must make payment one week in advance of the first workshop to be considered registered for the program.
If the quarterly payment option is selected, payment is required at least one week in advance of each quarter. Individuals not making the quarterly payment will be removed from the class roster and will not receive class information until payment is received.
Individuals who do not pay the entire registration fee will not complete the program.

Cancellation Policy
Ohio University reserves the right to cancel a program and refund the registration fee in the event there are an insufficient number of registrants.
