Maryam Lasisi Mustapha

Maryam Lasisi Mustapha is a doctoral student at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, Ohio University. Previously, she was Mass Communication Faculty at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Ilorin, Nigeria, where she taught courses in advertising and public relations, drawing from her marketing and corporate communication background and work experience.

She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in mass communication respectively, from the University of Ilorin, where she earned a First Class Honours and University of Lagos, where she earned a distinction.

She currently teaches introduction to advertising and public relations as well as introduction to advertising and public relations writing at Ohio University. Maryam is a member of the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
