Internship Scholarships

There are several opportunities for students to apply for scholarships that they can use toward their summer and fall internship. All Scripps College of Communication junior and senior students are eligible and are selected from each of our schools.

  • Don Perris Endowed Scholarship (Qualtrics form) - Each year multiple students are awarded $4,000 to be used towards their summer internship. Students must work a minimum of 35 hours over a 10 week period during the summer. The application process starts after winter break. Open to all Scripps College of Communication juniors and seniors.
     
  • Scripps Howard Foundation Internship Grant - Due to the generosity of the Scripps Howard Foundation, each year internship grants are awarded for students from our schools. Each student is awarded $3,000 plus a $500 follow-up award. Students must work a minimum of 35 hours over a 10 week period during the summer. The application process starts after winter break.

In addition, the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships sends out a scholarship application November 1 of each year. Upperclassmen should complete and submit the application by February 1.
