Each of our MAcc faculty members is a licensed CPA with industry expertise and a strong commitment to student success. CPA exam preparation is weaved throughout the curriculum, and you'll complete the program with advanced accounting and analytics skills plus the essential soft skills employers value.
This program offers three pathways to graduation:
For students entering the MAcc with an undergraduate degree in accounting or its equivalent, the program curriculum is 30 credit hours. (Core Accounting Courses + Data Analytics Courses)
For students entering the MAcc with a non-accounting undergraduate business degree, the program curriculum is 42 credit hours. (Accounting Bridge Courses + Core Accounting Courses + Data Analytics Courses)
For students entering the MAcc with a non-business undergraduate degree, the program curriculum is 48 credit hours. (General Business Courses + Accounting Bridge Courses + Core Accounting Courses + Data Analytics Courses)

In addition, new students enrolling in the online MAcc who hold a bachelor’s in a field other than accounting, can now take the pre-requisite accounting bridge courses (MBA 6315, ACCT 5010, ACCT 5020, and ACCT 5030) at a 75% lower tuition rate**, a savings of over $8,500 for all four courses.

75% Lower Tuition Rate for Accounting Bridge Courses
In addition, new students enrolling in the online MAcc who hold a bachelor’s in a field other than accounting, can now take the pre-requisite accounting bridge courses (MBA 6315, ACCT 5010, ACCT 5020, and ACCT 5030) at a 75% lower tuition rate**, a savings of over $8,500 for all four courses.
Incentive Scholarships of up to 15% are available for Ohio University alumni, military/veteran students and employees of corporate partners applying to an online graduate degree or certificate program.
There is no separate application required for these scholarships. You will automatically be considered for the higher value scholarship based on your eligibility status.
Ohio University is a Military Collegiate Purple Star Award® school and has been named one of the nation’s top Military Friendly® schools for over a decade. Our Veteran and Military Student Services Center provides access to programs and services specifically for military members and their families. In addition, student veterans and active military members are eligible to receive an incentive scholarship of up to 15% for eligible online graduate programs.

Students receiving full tuition, education benefits or other incentive tuition scholarship offers from the University are not eligible for this scholarship. For eligible students, the scholarship will then be prorated and credited towards tuition on a course-by-course basis throughout the full duration of the program in an amount not to cumulatively exceed $10,000. Please note that the scholarship offer is for tuition only and is not refundable to you. Additional restrictions may apply, and the program is subject to change.
** Students must enroll in Ohio University’s online MAcc program (On-campus MAcc and 1 Year MAcc are excluded), be accepted by the University, and first start classes on or after August 26, 2024 in order to be eligible for the lower tuition rate for these four courses in the MAcc Accounting Bridge: MBA 6315, ACCT 5010, ACCT 5020, and ACCT 5030. Please note that incentive scholarships cannot exceed 75% of the cost of each course. Additional restrictions may apply, and the program is subject to change.
