Online, Transfer and Credit Services Center

The Online, Transfer and Credit Services Center is responsible for providing comprehensive enrollment support to undergraduate online and campus-based transfer students; undergraduate reenrollment services; articulation and pathway development; transfer credit evaluation services; transfer credit policies, practices and strategic alignment with Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network strategies; community college partnerships; and the implementation of OHIO’s College Credit Plus program and other related early college programs.

The center's primary objective is to develop and implement strategies that increase college-going behavior, improve access and enhance degree completion. We accomplish this by leveraging OHIO’s unique position and expertise in several key strategic areas to positively impact the student experience from inquiry to enrollment and by fostering a college-going culture across Appalachian Ohio. The work of the center is organized into the following teams, each collaborating closely to create the unified effort:

  • OHIO Online Undergraduate Enrollment: The OHIO Online Undergraduate Enrollment team provides concierge-level services for online and reenrolling students throughout all stages of the enrollment process, ensuring seamless enrollment by collaborating closely with the OHIO Online academic advising team.
  • Transfer and Dual Enrollment: The Transfer and Dual Enrollment team provides provides enrollment support for students interested in transferring to one of OHIO’s six campuses. Team members engage in strategic outreach and recruitment activities, foster meaningful community college partnerships and enrollment pipeline initiatives, and increase college access for younger students by creating an accessible and high quality College Credit Plus program.
  • Articulation and Credit Services: The Articulation and Credit Services team develops seamless pathways to OHIO from community college partners and conducts timely transfer credit evaluations for undergraduate coursework for both prospective and admitted students, ensuring transparency and a clear understanding of time to degree completion. The team also manages transfer credit policies and practices, Ohio residency for tuition purposes and other related state initiatives.

The center is highly collaborative, closely engaging with Undergraduate Admissions, the Vice Provost for OHIO Online, the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost, academic units and other key partners to ensure strategic alignment of current and new initiatives with University goals.
