Greg Kessler is a Professor of Innovative Learning Design and Technology. He has published extensively and delivered keynotes and featured talks around the world. His research addresses technology, teaching, learning, culture, and language with an emphasis on teacher preparation. He has been the founding editor of the CALICO Equinox book series, Advances in CALL Practice & Research, and the Language Teaching & Technology forum in the journal Language Learning & Technology among others.

He holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Ohio University, as well as an MA in English with a focus on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and certificates in Ethnic Studies and TESOL from California State University-Sacramento. He also has a BA in English with a focus on Poetry & Anthropology from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
