Dr. Jen Newton holds the B.S. in Speech-Language-Hearing and the M.S. Ed in Early Childhood Special Education, both from the University of Kansas. She also earned the Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Kansas. Dr. Newton teaches courses in special education teacher education in assessment, behavior, and interventions. Dr. Newton's research interests include strengths-based approaches to families, early childhood inclusion and equity, and inclusive teacher preparation.
