Eastern Campus Dean's Office

A familiar and respected member of the Ohio University Eastern community, Kellner-Muscar brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education and a strong commitment to student success, access and engagement. She will serve as the Eastern Campus’ first female dean.

Kellner-Muscar’s connection to Ohio University Eastern spans more than two decades. She began her career at the campus in 2001 as a recruitment coordinator and has since served as a transfer advisor, academic advisor, manager of Advising and Retention, and, most recently, director of Student Services, a role she has held since January 2022.

Throughout her career at OHIO Eastern, Kellner-Muscar has provided leadership in student support services, enrollment, retention and community engagement. Her experience includes overseeing the College Credit Plus program, developing partnerships with K–12 institutions throughout the region, supporting recruitment initiatives, coordinating orientation programming and collaborating with University departments and community organizations to support student needs.

A native of Belmont County and graduate of Shadyside High School, Kellner-Muscar earned a Master of Public Administration from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts from Wheeling Jesuit University. Her deep roots in the Ohio Valley are reflected in her extensive community involvement, including advocacy for children in the foster care system, support for public education, arts and music, literacy initiatives and community revitalization efforts.

As dean, Kellner-Muscar will work alongside faculty, staff, students, alumni and community partners to advance Ohio University Eastern’s mission while strengthening connections throughout the Ohio Valley and expanding opportunities for student success and accessible, high-quality education close to home.
