Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

It seemed like the perfect fit for me. The campus is beautiful and close to home, allowing me to stay with my family!

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

I grew as an individual, volunteered for several occasions, and made memories through clubs and activities in my school!

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent my summer hanging out with my boyfriend and family, as well as traveling often.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

I am looking forward to meeting new friends and starting college!

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to become a gerontological social worker.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

I have always heard good things about it and it’s close to home.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

Going to district finals in track and graduating high school with a honors diploma.

How did you spend your summer? 

Going to the beach, tanning, swimming, and hanging out with friends.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

Meeting new people.

What is your dream job?

To become a physical therapist.

It is close to home and my family, and everyone is so nice at Ohio University Eastern and supportive!

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

graduating with honors and the national honors society. I am also proud of how much I have grown as a person in the past school year and out of school!

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent a week in Naples Florida at the beach.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

I am looking forward to meeting new people at college and having fun my first year at college!

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be a middle school teacher at an amazing school with amazing people.

I graduated with my welding certifications.

What is your dream job?

To be a neuroscientist.

To be an anesthesiologist.

It is at a convenient location for me, I have heard many good things about the school.

Doing more for myself and others, and experiencing new adventures.

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent it with my boyfriend, family, and friends. I went on vacation, worked, concerts, rodeos, fishing, and horseback riding.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

Meeting new people and starting the rest of my life with this career.

What is your dream job?

To take care of children and animals.

Getting the school record for digs in volleyball.

I have heard great things about the BSN program. Plus, I wanted to stay close to home.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

I am proud that I completed my first year of pre-requisites for the BSN program while in high school.

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent my summer hiking, spending time with family, and training for my patient care tech job at WVU.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

I am looking forward to starting nursing classes and clinicals.

What is your dream job?

Labor and delivery nurse.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

I have heard many good things about Ohio University Eastern, and my mom suggested I go for an associate's degree.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

Probably just being able to go to college. My family doesn't make a lot of money and I'm glad I'm able to go in the first place to get a better education.

How did you spend your summer? 

I usually spent a lot of time sleeping in and just playing video games. I did have a couple small outings with friends and family but nothing too crazy. I'm kind of an introvert and like to be alone.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

The season in general is what I'm looking forward to. Something about the Fall season is just so nostalgic and comforting to me. The football games, the slightly cold weather, all of it has a special place in my heart as I have some of my best memories during the fall. Halloween is also my favorite holiday, so I of course look forward to that.

What is your dream job?

I want to become a Fashion Designer. In the past, I've had times where I thought I'd want to do one thing but got burnt out on it and gave up. Something about being able to design fashion seems super appealing to me, and it involves my passion for drawing and designing.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

Close to home and a lot cheaper in the long run than Athens.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

Winning homecoming king and graduating high school. It doesn't feel like I should be starting college yet but here I am.

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent my summer hanging out with the people I love and working.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

Coaching my Jr High football team and getting to start this new chapter in my life.

What is your dream job?

Head football coach of a small D1 or Medium sized D2 school.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

I chose Ohio University Eastern because it has everything I need for my degree and is in my hometown area.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

The accomplishment from this past year that I am most proud of is joining the cross-country team as a senior. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I didn’t know I was capable of pushing my body to its limits until I joined cross country. The practices spent in 80-90 degree heat made me stronger both physically and mentally.

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent my summer working at Marshall’s in the Ohio Valley Mall. I enjoyed the summer sun and spent time with my family, friends, and boyfriend. In July, my family and I spent a week in North Myrtle Beach. It was definitely a summer to remember.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

I am most looking forward to taking classes that bring me closer to being a teacher. I am also looking forward to meeting new people who have similar interests to me.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be an elementary school teacher. It is what I’ve always dreamed of doing and I cannot wait for that dream to become a reality.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

It is a local community college that offers my major, and by staying close to my home I can continue to work my jobs and help take care of my family.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

Graduating High school with a 3.7 GPA, 6 seals, being apart of 5 clubs, and earning 3 scholarships all while playing two sports and having 2 jobs throughout the year. I also won this past year at the Ohio valley mall art show, which I have been competing for 4 years!

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent my summer working at Fairyland Drive in, a local ice cream shop as well as Home pizza, located downtown Barnesville! I also spent my free time hanging out with friends, family and my boyfriend!

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

I’m looking forward to meeting new friends, staying connected with classmates from Barnesville that are also attending Ohio University Eastern, and finishing my first year!

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be a kindergarten teacher while also specializing in special education. I would also like to own my own business of some sort in the future.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

I chose OHIO Eastern because of the small setting, and the campus. It is also close to home. Both of my parents graduated from OHIO Eastern, so that made a impact on my decision as well.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

I had a great and positive senior year at John Marshall High School. I was involved in their Competitive Vex Robotics program. My team qualified for the state championship and won many awards. I was awarded 3 scholarships for my grades, overall GPA, and my major going into college.

How did you spend your summer? 

I traveled a lot! In June, I went on vacation to Walt Disney World. It is one of ,u favorite places to visit. In July, I went to Las Vegas. I got to walk to Las Vegas "strip", and see 5 shows.

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

I am looking forward to beginning a new chapter at OHIO Eastern. I am excited to further my education journey. Outside of classes, I am excited to continue my figure skating career with the Wheeling Skate Club.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to become a teacher.

Why did you choose OHIO Eastern?

I believe OUE is truly the best place for me to pursue! Everyone is so welcoming and many people I’m surrounded by have succeeded from attending there !

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

Winning homecoming queen of my class, getting so many awards in art class, and trying out a new sport!

How did you spend your summer? 

I worked a lot, had a few vacations, and received lots of love !

Learning more & new things!

What is your dream job?

To be an amazing educator for children!

I chose Ohio University Eastern for many reasons! 1. the welcoming and caring community of the wonderful staff and professors 2. the highly regarded nursing program 3. the affordability and close to home education.

What accomplishments are you most proud of from the past year?

In the past year, the accomplishments that I’m most proud of (and have watched succeed) are my determination towards straight-A academics, making it far in athletics, devoting myself to community, working hard at my job, serving for the Gospel, choosing Ohio University Eastern, and creating lasting friendships!

How did you spend your summer? 

I spent my summer on vacation at the beach with family and friends, at church camp (one as a camper and another as faculty), going on adventures with my girls and my boy, working, and spreading the Good News!

What are you most looking forward to this fall?

This fall, I’m most looking forward to meeting new people, having fun with my professors, taking my first nursing class, and serving Christ wherever I go!

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to become a nurse practitioner with an independent family practice!
