The College of Fine Arts announced this week that they have published their fall 2014 newsletter that includes alumni, faculty, and current student news and updates.
This newsletter also featured a new collaboration between the College of Fine Arts and the School of Art + Design. The College worked with Don Adleta, professor of graphic design, on selecting and working with an undergraduate graphic design student to create and design the Fine Arts Newsletter for one academic year (two publications, fall and spring). Michael Jung from Cleveland, Ohio, junior in graphic design, was selected to create and design the 2014-15 Fine Arts Newsletters.
“We are proud of the talent and accomplishments of our Fine Arts students,” said Margaret Kennedy-Dygas, Dean of the College of Fine Arts. “With the new design collaboration, the College of Fine Arts is walking its talk by demonstrating student work in the core message about what we do every day.”
In this new process the College of Fine Arts hopes to provide our students with practical experience and to showcase their design skills. Due to this yearly selection of a different student no two newsletters will look exactly the same, as each student has a different design perspective and aesthetic.
“Working with the College of Fine Arts has given me the opportunity to not only practice the skills I have acquired throughout my design education, but has also helped me refine them through the process of collaboration,” said Jung.
