All first year Theater Majors are advised to take the theater core curriculum and as many general education requirements as possible. All first year students and transfers are advised by Maureen Wagner, the Assistant Director of the School of Theater. By the beginning of the second year, each student is assigned an academic advisor specific to the student's program of study. In some cases, students can request particular faculty members as advisors.
Each semester a student schedules an advising session with their academic advisor. Using the student's DARs (Degree Audit Report) the student, with counseling from the advisor, maps out progress and review goals toward a degree.
