Certifying a Proposal Record

When a Proposal Record has been submitted into routing, a required certification attestation will be sent to all PI’s and Co-PIs. Each PI/Co-PI in the routing chain will receive an email that contains a direct link to certify the proposal:

When the Proposal.link is clicked from the email, the proposal form will be loaded along with a button to certify the proposal record.

To certify the proposal, the individual will need to check the “Confirm My Certification” box and then click “Certify”.

By Clicking “Certify” the individual is stating:

I understand and certify that:

  • The information submitted within this application is true, complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
  • Any false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements or claims may subject the Organization, and the investigators, to criminal, civil or administrative penalties.
  • I have the responsibility for the scientific, fiscal and ethical conduct of the project and to provide the required progress reports if an award is made.
  • I will comply with all relevant state and federal regulations, University policies and contractual obligations, including subaward management, in administering the resultant award.
  • I have completed or updated my annual Outside Interests disclosure within the last 12 months.
  • I have reviewed applicable U.S. Export Control requirements and institutional policy on Export Controls and will comply with the export control requirements.
  • I will comply with all Research Security requirements established for this project.
  • I will abide by the conflict of interest management plan established by the Ohio University's Conflict of Interest Committee.
  • I understand that I am not authorized to execute any proposal or awards on behalf of Ohio University.
