Collins Simat Ketere is a PhD student in Instructional Technology at Ohio University and serves as a Graduate Assistant with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS). In his role, he coordinates orientation programs, cultural events, and student engagement initiatives that foster community and belonging for international students.

Originally from Kenya, Collins brings experience as an educator, researcher, and youth development leader. His academic work explores digital learning environments, student agency, and equity in higher education. Passionate about creating supportive spaces, he is committed to helping international students thrive academically, socially, and personally during their time at Ohio University.

Fun fact: Collins is from the Maasai community of Kenya, known for its rich traditions and the iconic jumping dance (“Adumu”), a symbol of celebration.
