Instructional & Course Support

The Provost’s Office is reshaping our institutional approach to supporting instructional design to better align with institutional priorities, evolving faculty needs and the changing landscape of educational technology. As part of this change, OHIO’s Office of Instructional Design was sunset, effective Monday, August 31, 2026. 

  • OHIO Online assumed the compliance responsibilities from the OID portfolio and will support faculty in the design of online courses as needed to ensure continued excellence in course delivery. 
  • The Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CTLA) supports faculty development, course design and instruction across all modalities. Its website features a digital resources hub faculty may access as needed.
  • OHIO Online will manage contracts with outside vendors as needed to build new online programs.
