What Do OHIO Online Program Support Analysts Do?
OHIO Online Analysts are dedicated to supporting instructors in delivering high-quality online learning experiences through OHIO’s preferred learning management system, Canvas. They serve as a bridge between instructors and the Canvas tools, resources, and best practices that make online education effective and engaging. They also review courses to ensure quality and digital accessibility.
Instructional Support for Online Course Offerings:
- General Troubleshooting: Not sure where to start? Assistance with general questions and help to find the resources you need for assistance. Assistance with learning management systems, instructional tools, and troubleshooting.
- Semester Prep and Start/Finish: Supporting online instructors with their semester start and finish course needs: Cross listing, content copying, Prime course updates, links and media checks, & accessibility review.
- Review Course Design & Development: Ensuring that online courses are routinely reviewed and the design remains consistent with program, department, and institutional needs.
- Best Practices & Accessibility: Recommendations for online teaching strategies and helping instructors to ensure course content meets digital accessibility standards.
- Administration: Directing instructors to any additional resources or subject matter experts as needed.
