Interdisciplinary Arts Master's Degree

This Interdisciplinary Arts master's degree program serves students seeking to express creative ideas in a professional manner with analytical rigor. The degree consists of studio and/or scholarly projects and experiences, oral presentations, and papers. It is a one to two-year program.

Students who qualify will be awarded this M.A. and may apply to continue their studies in the Ph.D. program. Undergraduate students will be able to consider this degree as a 3 + 1 option.

Interdisciplinary Arts M.A. Courses & Curriculum

Requirements include a minimum of 33 credit hours, including a minimum of 27 credit hours spread over three areas of concentrations from the College of Fine Arts. Students must demonstrate or acquire reading proficiency in a language other than spoken English and complete a written thesis, studio thesis, or culminating experience.
