The School of Interdisciplinary Arts is a Ph.D. and M.A. program that educates scholars and scholar-artists who are grounded in specific disciplines and are able to address the arts through the lens of interdisciplinarity. Because of the emphasis placed on pedagogical training, the majority of Interdisciplinary Arts graduates work in higher education throughout the country and abroad.
The school also hosts an Applied Arts in Health that provides opportunities for fine artists (visual artists, musicians, dancers, performers, filmmakers, writers, etc.) to expand their practice by learning advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely and effectively apply their arts practice within healthcare and public health settings.
